Seismic Analysis of Structures with Soft Storey and Irregularities: A Comprehensive Review
Seismic vulnerability of soft storey and vertical irregular structures is a significant issue in structural
engineering. Structures with open ground storeys, mass irregularity, and discontinuity have greater risks during
earthquakes, mainly because of the concentration of forces and large displacement at certain storey levels. This
review consolidates evidence from a series of investigations, with prominent features of seismic analysis of soft
storey and irregular structures including modeling approaches, performance parameters, and code standards.
The observations suggest the implementation of design solutions like shear walls, bracing, and strengthening of
stiffness distribution to enhance seismic resilience. Suggestions are also given for future study directions with
special emphasis on superior analytical approaches and hybrid structural measures.

Power prediction method for distributed photovoltaic power generation based on D-ELM
Distributed PV power generation poses challenges to grid scheduling and stable operation due to the intermittent, nonlinear, and nonstationary characteristics of power output[1]. Traditional prediction methods rely on artificial features and a single model, which are difficult to capture complex spatio-temporal correlations; the classical Extreme Learning Machine is highly efficient in training, but suffers from limited generalization performance and insufficient deep feature extraction. In this study, we propose an improved ELM prediction method that integrates deep feature learning and adaptive optimization, and constructs a framework of "data denoising - hierarchical feature extraction - parameter optimization" to improve prediction accuracy and robustness.
